User Properties

User properties on policies involve defining and managing specific attributes users consent to and return post verification. This can include user name, address, phone or community specific data (e.g., military service dates, student anticipated graduation date, etc). Policies use these properties to determine what information will be granted by the user for you to access.

Data Minimization

You should work in collaboration with their dedicated ID.me account team to ensure that we’re only sending a payload of relevant data points. Data are considered relevant if there is a business case for obtaining and storing the information for downstream processes. By being deliberate about the kind of data we’re including, we can minimize the risk around sending and storing data that may be useless for your purposes.
